Is Cheez in your city? Earn $2 for every jar sold at your local natural market, grocery store, or farmers market.

We’re working to make Cheez nationally available and wanted a way to include our community and raving fans. From this intention, and a bunch of brainstorming, a brilliant idea took shape...

Groundswell was born.

We found a way to make Cheez available in local stores while also helping to provide extra cash or passive income for our customers.

It’s been our experience that customers actually have the best ability to get new products into a store. For example, when we launched Cheez, one of our fans in Spokane approached a local chain asking them to stock it. The grocery store reached out to us and now we’re in three of their stores.

So how does this work?

Simply and easily.

  1. Next time you’re in your favorite grocery store or natural market ask to speak with the grocery buyer, store manager, or person responsible for the non-dairy section. Talk with them about the product, its taste and health benefits and suggest that you’d like to see them carry it.

  2. Share our contact information with the store.

  3. Come back to this page and share the name of the store (form below). You get paid once they place their first order and with each subsequent order after that.

Now at this point you might be thinking….wait just a minute!?! Are you saying that I can make $2 for every jar of Cheez a store sells and all I have to do is ask them to carry the product?

How can Cheez do this?

Traditionally, there are two common approaches to get a new food item in stores. One method is for a sales team to prospect and cold call upon stores. This of course requires resources for prospecting, marketing, travel, etc.  Another way is to hire an outside food sales representative. This individual then markets your product to the stores in their territory and earns a commission.

There’s nothing wrong with either of the approaches mentioned above. However, both require time and resources. As we evaluated how to spread Cheez to other cities, we knew we wanted to find a way that involved our fans. And then it happened - the flash of inspiration. Instead of spending time and money cold-calling, prospecting, or paying a food rep, what if we just paid our customers for doing what they do best - raving about the product. It’s a win-win for both sides!

Needless to say, there's a large opportunity ahead. It’s currently estimated that 65% of the world’s population has a reduced ability to process lactose after infancy. In addition, more people are turning away from traditional dairy products due to environmental or ethical concerns. These two factors contribute heavily toward the explosive growth in the plant-based cheese market. Current data projects that this market is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of over 15% and reach revenues of $2.5 Billion by 2024.
